Job Summary
The Coordinator of Safety & Inspection plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies to minimize workplace hazards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to analyze safety data, negotiate safety protocols, and effectively communicate safety standards across all levels of the organization. We are seeking an experienced candidate to lead the daily operations of our solid waste facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong interpersonal skills, operational expertise, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety components on all equipment.
- Lead a diverse team of truck drivers,
- Manage scheduling, truck flow, and on-site logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure proper equipment upkeep.
- Represent the company in on-site meetings and customer interactions.
- Lead crisis response and recovery efforts.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and drive cultural change across the site.
- Dispatching drivers to 2 locations
Must Have Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of logistics, communicating with drivers and safety management.
- Proficient in computer systems and reporting tools.
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL-A is valuable
- Must be able to perform Level 1 inspections
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and process improvement.
- Experience conducting Level 1 inspections on Class A equipment.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and driver compliance auditing.
- Ability to conduct driver training, performance reviews, and safety meetings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead in high-pressure situations.
- Experience in building systems and processes within a matrixed organization
- OSHA experience is a plus.

Pay: $65, $70,000.00 per year
