Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed Cosmetologist and/or Barbering Instructor to join our dynamic educational team. This role involves delivering comprehensive training to aspiring beauty professionals, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cosmetology or barbering, along with teaching experience and a passion for mentoring students. Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans covering topics such as hair coloring, hair extensions, hair styling, nail care, facials, makeup application, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and aesthetic treatments.
  • Instruct students on advanced techniques including esthetic laser treatment, dermabrasion, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue massage.
  • Demonstrate proper use of equipment and products while emphasizing safety protocols.
  • Assess student progress through practical exams and theoretical assessments; provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to adult education and learning.
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into curriculum.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all instructional activities.
  • Support students in their career development by offering guidance on industry best practices and professional growth opportunities.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of cosmetology, barbering, and aesthetic treatments including hair coloring, styling, threading, facials, makeup application, nail care, and body waxing.
  • Proficiency in advanced techniques such as eyelash extensions, hair extensions, laser treatments, dermabrasion, and trigger point therapy.
  • Strong teaching abilities with experience in adult education and lesson planning.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse learners.
  • Ability to demonstrate practical skills with precision while maintaining safety standards.
  • Familiarity with classroom management tools and educational technology.
  • Prior experience in classroom instruction or training within a beauty or health-related field is highly desirable. This position is ideal for a passionate professional committed to educating the next generation of beauty specialists while sharing expertise across a broad range of cosmetology disciplines.

  • Bilingual (Fluent in English & Spanish)
  • Have a California license in Barbering and/or Cosmetology
  • Schedule availability

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
