HireArt is helping its client find a Senior Software Development Engineer – OXM Enterprise Team to join its Query Topics team.

In this role, you will join the Query Topics team under the enrichment space, which manages services covering text data classification and tagging of topics. This includes supporting key application stacks such as TextIQ and Discover Designer, and working closely with the team's on-call resource to help handle bug fixes, customer-reported issues (p1/p2s), and patching application security vulnerabilities within stipulated SLAs.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer - OXM Enterprise Team, you will:

  • Support the Query Topics team's day-to-day operations by resolving customer-reported issues, handling bug fixes, and applying security patches.
  • Deliver AI-based topic modeling and tuning features to enhance data insights.
  • Help facilitate the transition from CrateDB to an improved text engine backend, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Develop and enhance UI components using React for improved user experience.
  • Implement and maintain REST APIs, integrating primary backend services with frontend — ongoing with biweekly milestones.
  • Support automation of quality assessments for AI tools to optimize KTLO efforts and reduce risks.
  • Ensure expected outcomes: reduce maintenance overhead, reduce KTLO risk, improve time to value, and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Java development
  • Experience with UI development using React and familiarity with Google Web Toolkit
  • REST API design and implementation expertise
  • Experience with AWS and relational databases, preferably Postgres
  • Knowledge of text search databases such as ElasticSearch or CrateDB
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional Agile team
  • Familiarity with AI tooling and automation of quality assessments is a plus

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Golang and RabbitMQ

*This is a full-time, 3-month contract position (with the possibility of extension) staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite in Seattle, WA. Please note, any parking expenses will be the employee's responsibility.
