We are looking for a Part Time Human Resources Generalist to join our team and implement various human resources functions with the dignity and development of the whole person in mind. The HR Generalist role will be far from one-dimensional, involving a wide range of HR tasks, from crafting HR policies and ensuring all employee records are up-to-date and confidential, to being the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics. In addition, the HR Generalist will support hiring and onboarding processes, maintain compliance, resolve conflicts and coordinate employee relations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics (such as leaves and compensation), and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics (e.g.: time to hire and employee turnover rates)
- Organize employee check-ins and annual employee performance reviews
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form and uphold confidentially
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving employee issues promptly and compassionately, and organizing team building activities
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Other tasks as assigned by Executive Director
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or 2-5 years' experience in Human Resources.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of employment and labor law
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite; HRIS systems will be a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to meet competing deadlines
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- Payroll experience a plus
- Bilingual a plus
- Conversational Spanish and/or Haitian Creole a plus
Salary commensurate with experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
