The Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Alexandria has an opening for a talented Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team. Operated by Direct Care and Treatment, the CBHH is a small inpatient psychiatric facility that provides rapid assessment and stabilization for adults experiencing an acute mental health episode.

As the Licensed Practical Nurse you will perform nursing duties in caring for adults with acute to chronic and severe mental illness, including keeping clinical charts and reports on the emotional and physical status of patients. Facilitate the admission of patients to the unit; take temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure readings; administer and record prescribed medication. Promote and participate in rehabilitation activities and encourage patient personal hygiene. Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment and comply with all safety and health standards, laws, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse

**Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting.
  • Experience working in a hospital setting.
