Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate psychopharmacology, therapy modalities, and lifestyle modifications aligned with best practices.
  • Prescribe medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and other psychotropic agents while monitoring for efficacy and adverse effects.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including primary care providers, social workers, therapists, and specialists to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Provide education on mental health conditions, medication management, lifestyle adjustments, and coping strategies to patients and their families.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all patient information throughout every interaction.

Skills

  • Proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in psychiatric or behavioral health settings with children and adults.
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology including medication management protocols for diverse mental health disorders.
  • Excellent communication skills for teaching patients about their conditions while providing empathetic support during challenging times.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
