Enrollment & Family Engagement Coordinator –Reggio Inspired Early Learning Academy

The Elsie Academy is a Reggio Emilia inspired early learning center committed to nurturing the whole child through child-led investigation, creativity, and connection. The Elsie Academy is seeking a warm, highly organized, and tech-savvy Enrollment & Family Engagement Coordinator to lead admissions, parent communication, community outreach, events, front desk operations, fundraising, and PTA coordination.

This is a key leadership role for someone passionate about early childhood education, family-school connection, and building a vibrant, inclusive school culture. You'll be the first point of contact for prospective families, the go-to person for parent support, and a critical player in both day-to-day operations and long-term school development.

Key Responsibilities

Enrollment & Admissions

• Manage the full admissions lifecycle: inquiries, tours, enrollment, onboarding, and retention
• Host engaging, philosophy-aligned tours and open house events
• Maintain accurate enrollment and waitlist records using Procare
• Collaborate with leadership on forecasting classroom availability and meeting enrollment goals

Family Engagement, Communication & PTA

• Act as the first point of escalation for parent concerns and questions
• Develop and manage all family communication: newsletters, emails, parent updates, and event notices
• Partner with and support the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in organizing school initiatives and fostering parent leadership
• Plan and lead family engagement programs, including:
• Parent orientation and onboarding
• Cultural and seasonal events
• Volunteer days and family service projects
• Parent education workshops and wellness nights

Community Outreach & Development Events

• Represent the school at community fairs, events, and outreach opportunities
• Build relationships with local schools, businesses, and family organizations
• Coordinate and lead school events and fundraising efforts, including:
• Annual campaigns, benefit nights, fun runs, book fairs, and silent auctions
• Donor outreach and sponsor engagement

Office Administration & Front Desk Operations

• Serve as the front desk lead, greeting families and guests professionally
• Answer phones, respond to emails, manage scheduling for tours and events
• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized front office space
• Support office documentation, data entry, and daily coordination with classroom staff

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Communications, Business, or a related field
• DCF Director's Credential or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Completion of 45 DCF required training hours
• CPR and First Aid certified
• 3+ years of experience in early childhood, enrollment, admissions, or parent/community engagement
• Strong knowledge of:
• Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies
• Child-led investigation and developmentally appropriate practice
• Conscious Discipline
• Procare, ASQ, and child milestone documentation
• Technologically proficient:
• Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and CRM tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• 8:45am-5:45pm
• Occasional evenings or weekends for events and outreach
