Project Manager

*This is a remote, 40hr/week contract opportunity*

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive delivery for technology implementation projects within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Oracle NetSuite practices. This role will lead cross-functional teams, manage project plans and budgets, and ensure successful client outcomes across concurrent engagements.

The ideal candidate has strong ERP project management experience, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage complex client-facing initiatives from planning to post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end delivery of ERP (NetSuite / Business Central) implementation, enhancement, and optimization projects.
• Manage project pipelines, prioritization, and team capacity to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Oversee project plan creation, scope documentation, task assignments, and resource management.
• Facilitate weekly project status meetings (internal and client-facing), ensuring clarity around milestones, risks, and next steps.
• Maintain accountability for project scope, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Support preparation of client invoices and budget forecasts (not directly responsible for billing).

Project Administration

• Create and maintain project budgets and forecasts using Teams and Smartsheet.
• Track budget vs. actuals in Resource Management; adjust allocations weekly as needed.
• Schedule and coordinate internal/external meetings and steering calls.
• Send project status updates and reports to project leads.
• Manage change order requests in partnership with development and client teams.

Financial & Risk Management

• Assess client requests and determine whether they fall under existing scope or require change orders.
• Track project costs, communicate budget updates to clients, and escalate risks to project sponsors.
• Identify potential scope changes early and collaborate to mitigate impact on timeline and budget.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a strategic liaison between clients, development teams, functional consultants, and leadership.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement custom solutions and enhancements.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements and delivery accelerators.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the continued development of the Project Management Office (PMO) by sharing best practices and lessons learned.
• Drive adoption of Agile methodologies to improve project efficiency and team collaboration.
• Support mentoring and coordination across project managers and consultants to ensure consistent delivery standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience within ERP or technology implementation environments.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Oracle NetSuite projects (implementation, customization, or optimization).
• Strong understanding of project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and change order management.
• Proficiency in Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and resource management tools.
• Excellent communication and client management skills with ability to lead cross-functional and remote teams.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong organizational skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing and maintaining PMO frameworks or delivery standards.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance processes, test planning, and UAT facilitation.
• Background in business analysis, financial analysis, or accounting principles.
• Familiarity with ERP integrations, data migration, and dashboard/reporting design.
• Certification: PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management credential (preferred but not required).
