Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
  • Provide attentive infant and toddler care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies that encourage independence and social skills among young children.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress, needs, and milestones.
  • Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, meals, naps, and outdoor play.
  • Incorporate early childhood education principles into daily routines to enhance developmental outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive environment that accommodates children with special needs or disabilities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, caregiving techniques, and classroom management.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Experience with classroom management techniques tailored for young children.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to nurture a caring environment that promotes trust and curiosity among young learners.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of infants and toddlers throughout the day.
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive space that respects diversity and individual differences.
  • Reliable attendance record with a passion for nurturing early childhood development.
