Banquet Supervisor

The William Penn Inn, the oldest continuously operating inn in the country, has been a proud cornerstone of hospitality and tradition for generations. We are currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Banquet Supervisor to join our dedicated and dynamic team.
As a Banquet Supervisor, you will oversee banquet events and ensure that every function reflects the high-quality standards and refined service that define the William Penn Inn. You'll manage and support the banquet staff, act as a liaison between service and culinary teams, and ensure smooth and successful event execution from start to finish.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate communication and service flow between the kitchen and banquet floor staff.
- Supervise banquet staff and delegate responsibilities for each event.
- Review seating diagrams and event details for accuracy and feasibility.
- Ensure adherence to all employer policies, food service regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Inspect staff uniforms and overall presentation prior to each event.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the banquet floor, kitchen, and storage areas.
- Address and resolve guest concerns and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Prepare detailed reports and assist with billing and post-event summaries.
- Uphold the William Penn Inn's culture of elegance, hospitality, and excellence.
- Step in as a server or bartender when needed.
- Must be available to work major holidays, including Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve, and Valentine's Day.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Professional, courteous, and guest-focused demeanor.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Solid knowledge of food service, presentation, and event operations.
- Leadership ability with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting moderately heavy items.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to upholding the Inn's high standards.
