Have you ever driven for FEDEX GROUND, CRST, LANDSTAR, PRIME ETC?.... We are seeking skilled OTR (Over-the-Road) Truck Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, communication and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Operate various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks for the transportation of freight.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while managing any unforeseen delays or detours.
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any issues encountered on the road.
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads as necessary to prevent damage during transport.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving, including the use of manual transmission when required.

Skills

  • Proficient in operating various types of commercial vehicles including tankers and refrigerated trailers.
  • Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods while managing time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during transportation.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in truck driving is highly desirable.
