Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert speech and language therapy services to patients across various age groups, with a focus on pediatrics and early intervention. This role involves assessing communication disorders, developing personalized treatment plans, and supporting patients in achieving optimal speech, language, and swallowing functions. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs, including pediatric and early intervention cases.
  • Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve communication skills.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, educators, and caregivers, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech development, therapy techniques, and strategies for ongoing support at home.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and anatomy to enhance service quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Prior school experience is preferred, especially working with pediatric populations.
  • Experience in pediatrics and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology.
  • Proven ability in patient assessment and developing effective therapy plans.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage patients of all ages and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Compassionate approach with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position is integral to supporting individuals' communication health through expert assessment and tailored therapy services.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Per diem, Temporary

Pay: $ $60.00 per hour
