Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol

Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer at a healthcare location, where you'll actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help to maintain a secure environment, and you will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This armed position requires a valid guard card/license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques and appropriate communication.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for any unusual behavior or conditions within the healthcare location.
  • Assist staff, visitors, and/or patients by providing information or directions as needed, while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or irregularities according to site procedures and Allied Universal standards.
  • Comply with all state, local, and site-specific regulations regarding armed security protocols and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or Armed Guard License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
