Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Manager to join our team. We are an amalgam of small businesses encompassing real estate, construction, self-storage, cannabis, and weight loss/wellness treatments. The ideal candidate will support daily office operations and assist with various accounting tasks. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of financial concepts, making it essential for candidates to have experience in bookkeeping and general ledger accounting. From time to time this role will require interacting with customers to answer general questions about the companies' services, collect payments, solve complaints, and sign leases. This is a full time 40 hours a week Monday-Friday 9-5 position. Please, no bookkeeping contractors; we aren't looking for someone with multiple clients.
Duties
Provide administrative support to key staff members to ensure efficient operation of the office
Manage schedules, appointments, and calendars for key staff members
Handle vendor management and maintain positive relationships with service providers
Assist customers in person and on the phone while providing excellent customer service
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for multiple small businesses
Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliation
Assist with month end & year-end inventory and bank reconciliations
Utilize QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Treez cannabis POS software
Support payroll processing and sales tax-related activities as needed
Requirements
3+ years experience as an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper/Office Manager or in a similar role within an accounting environment
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Knowledge of budgeting processes is advantageous
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
