Job Overview

AHG Construction & Remodeling is are seeking highly organized and experienced Residential Managers with at least 5 years of experience to oversee residential construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves coordinating various aspects of residential building projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols. The Residential Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth project execution and client satisfaction. This is an onsite position that requires monitoring residential construction job sites & residential renovation projects within a 45 minute radius of Richmond, VA.

Duties

  • Oversee all phases of residential construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution through our Buildertrend Software Portal
  • Coordinate project activities with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project milestones are met
  • Manage project schedules using Buildertrend and other construction management software to ensure timely completion
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to verify project specifications and compliance
  • Monitor construction site safety protocols and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations
  • Prepare and review construction estimates & budgets to monitor successful site budget management
  • Track project budgets, change orders, and procurement processes
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Facilitate communication among all stakeholders to resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, changes, and issues for reporting purposes
  • Limited amount of hands on work / work with hand tools, power tools, company provided equipment

Qualifications

  • Extremely strong attention to detail & organization
  • Ability to multi-task / manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Proven experience in construction management or project coordination within residential building sector to include new construction and/or renovation work
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction building codes, blueprint reading, schematics
  • Proficiency with construction management software for scheduling purposes, budgeting, and daily management of subcontractors, in-house staff, & vendors
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively, oversight of 5-7 projects concurrently
  • Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards
  • Strong communication skills daily
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams on-site and in office settings
  • Proficient in utilizing technology to include Laptops, IPADs, Cloud Based Software with limited assistance from others on a daily basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55, $70,000.00 per year
