Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers. This is a vital role in our distribution center, and we are looking for someone who is organized, efficient, and has strong attention to detail. Duties: - Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the contents - Inspect packages for damages or defects - Unload and load trucks using appropriate equipment - Sort, label, and store received items in designated areas - Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products - Utilize order picking systems to fulfill customer orders - Operate material handling equipment such as order pickers or forklifts - Maintain accurate inventory records using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software - Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy - Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues - Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations - Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management (MRP experience is a plus) - Ability to lift heavy objects and operate material handling equipment safely - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Good communication skills to interact with team members and external vendors Benefits: - Competitive pay based on experience - Health insurance options available - Paid time off and holiday pay - Opportunities for career growth within the company If you meet the requirements above and are interested in joining our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, please apply with your updated resume.
