Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert food and beverage knowledge, and a warm, welcoming attitude. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in process.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
  • Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend pairings, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms, and issuing receipts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests as needed.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience; address concerns promptly to ensure a positive outcome.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders; assist with food handling and basic food preparation when necessary.
  • Support other team members during busy periods by assisting with host/host duties or light kitchen tasks.
  • Uphold all sanitation standards related to food service, including proper food handling procedures and cleanliness protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing training related to POS systems, menu updates, and customer service techniques to continually improve performance.

Experience

Candidates should possess previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally within fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants. Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. A background in culinary arts or food preparation can be beneficial but is not mandatory; however, familiarity with food handling safety standards is essential. Excellent communication skills, strong time management abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service are critical for success in this role. Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency in sales techniques including upselling strategies, have a solid understanding of hospitality principles, and possess the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Previous experience as a host/host or in cashiering roles will be considered advantageous. A keen eye for detail regarding sanitation practices and food safety regulations is required to ensure a safe dining environment for all guests.
