Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Line Service Technician is responsible for safe and efficient aircraft ground handling, fueling, facility upkeep, and support services for flight crews, medical teams, charter clients, and company operations. This role is essential to maintaining safe ramp operations, compliance with FAA and company policies, and a professional customer-service experience.

1. Flight Support & Scheduling

  • Participate in rotating shifts and on-call coverage to meet flight schedule needs.

  • Minimum 40 hours per week, two weekends per month, overtime as needed.

  • Report to work punctually, well-groomed, and prepared for assigned shifts.

2. Aircraft Ground Handling

  • Marshal, park, tow, and reposition aircraft safely.

  • Operate ground support equipment including tugs, GPUs, towbars, and safety gear.

  • Clean aircraft using approved company methods.

  • Assist medical crews and charter clients with belongings.

  • Maintain situational awareness and ramp safety.

3. Fueling Operations

  • Perform Jet-A fueling per FAA and company policy.

  • Conduct fuel QC: sampling, contamination checks, inspections (daily/annual).

  • Maintain fuel trucks, fuel farm, hoses, and related systems.

4. Vehicle & Equipment Operation

  • Safely operate company vehicles and airport equipment.

  • Perform upkeep such as oil checks, battery checks, and filter changes.

5. Facility, Hangar & Grounds Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hangar.

  • Complete daily office cleaning before 8:00 a.m.

  • Perform general maintenance: trash removal, FOD pickup, cleaning, lighting, furniture movement, and minor repairs.

  • Assist with grounds upkeep and seasonal needs.

6. Operational Support

  • Run errands for office, flight operations, or medical teams.

  • Support customer service functions.

  • Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment.

  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Operations Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays.

  • Strong communication and instruction-following skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous FBO/aviation line service experience.

  • Knowledge of ramp safety, fueling, TSA/FAA rules.

  • Mechanical aptitude or GSE experience.

Reports To

Operations Manager, with support from the Director of Maintenance and Flight Operations.

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
