Senior Construction Project Manager

Megatel Homes is currently seeking a Senior Land Development Construction Project Manager for our corporate office in Dallas, Texas. The right candidate will support day-to-day operations as well as support the corporate office and administrative team. Paired with the residential side of the company, Megatel Homes specializes in developing communities that include several aspects of living that include commercial construction of multi-family, and large amenity sites including water features, dining, and entertainment venues.

Construction Project Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion.

  • Prepares and reviews work scopes for accuracy and completeness for bid solicitation.

  • Reviews and evaluates bids and proposals for accuracy and completeness.
  • Obtains all necessary regulations and permits.
  • Works closely with the Megatel legal team in establishing contract documents.
  • Oversees and audits engineering and consultant invoicing and billing documents.
  • Manages Change Orders, RFI's, pay applications.
  • Makes sure projects are aligned with agreed-upon plans.
  • Manages construction managers and oversees their work.
  • Develops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.
  • Collaborates with architects, engineers, electricians, and other specialists.
  • Writes and submits testing and inspection logs, quality assurance reports, and punch lists.
  • Ensures that all local, state, and national building codes and regulations and safety precautions are followed.
  • Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.

  • Other Duties as Assigned

This is a full-time position, and the typical work hours are from 8:00 - 5:00 Monday through Friday. This position alternates with field and office responsibilities.

Senior Construction Project Manager Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have a strong knowledge of Engineering, structural designs, and means and methods of commercial construction.

  • Ability to read and understand complex plans and specifications including Civil, Architectural, and Landscaping plans.

  • Knows how to use popular construction project management software.
  • Builds strong relationships with clients, contractors, and construction workers.
  • Supervises and oversees field construction managers.

  • Excels at organization, time-management, problem-solving, and budgeting.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar education in construction science and management, civil engineering, business administration, or a related field.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Outreach Training.

  • Construction Project Management certification desired.

  • Min. five years of construction experience.
