Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. This role involves working collaboratively with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients. The LPN will be responsible for administering medications, performing assessments, and supporting patients with daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in discharge planning and case management.

Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in nursing with experience in various healthcare settings. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Critical care experience (ICU or Emergency Room).
  • Long-term care experience or assisted living facilities.
  • Familiarity with medical office procedures and primary care practices.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer's care.
  • Proficiency in IV infusion, medication administration, phlebotomy, and catheterization.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is advantageous. Ideal candidates will also have experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice care, home care, or outpatient settings. Additional skills such as basic life support certification, specimen collection/processing, and knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) are highly valued. Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $41.21 per hour
