Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as toast POS, ensuring clear communication of guest preferences
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during transactions, including cashiering duties and processing payments
  • Assist with food preparation, food handling, and basic kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables promptly, resetting dining areas, and adhering to sanitation protocols
  • Use reservation management platforms like OpenTable to coordinate guest seating and manage waitlists effectively
  • Foster positive guest relations by providing exceptional customer service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; experience in fine dining is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
  • Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours including, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting
  • Culinary experience or kitchen background is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
  • Good physical stamina for standing long periods, lifting trays or supplies as needed
