Position Title: Cleaner

Pay Type: Hourly

FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt 

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Location: Rochester, NY

Salary Range: $18 - $20/hour
 

Summary/Objective:

  • To maintain the cleanliness and order of the facilities to meet the Company's goals for a safe and hygienic environment.  
     

Essential Functions:

  • Clean floors in plant including mopping around corners and bumper guards and using floor machine.
  • Clean and mop employee entrance. Maintain and clean Bathrooms throughout the plant. Clean and maintain Cafeteria.
  • Dust mop, use floor machine in Blue room, Panther room and Cafeteria.
  • Vacuum office.
  • Clean windows in front of building.
  • Empty garbage in throughout the plant
  • Sweep throughout the plant as needed.
  • Empty recycling bins in the proper areas for Plastic, Paper, and Cardboard. The ability to lift 40 Lbs is necessary.
  • Perform outside maintenance as necessary, shoveling, salting walks, trimming, weeding, raking.
  • Performs all other tasks/duties as assigned by their supervisor.

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, proper use of cleaning products and equipment, and understanding safety procedures. 
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team vital for client and colleague interaction and handling diverse work environments.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to sit, regular use of hands. 
  • Frequently required to stand and walk. 
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine. 
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be able to work under pressure with ever changing deadlines and priorities.
