Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Engineer, Systems Engineering in Cedar Rapids, IA.

What YOU will do

• Work in an Agile environment focused on the design and development of software-only products.
• Develop test plans and test procedure documents.
• Integrate software functionality into existing avionics systems and hardware.
• Participate in a cross-functional team activities daily and coordinate regularly with engineering and project management to ensure success of the product and program.
• Execute systems testing in the lab setting to verify functionality and requirements.
• Execute aircraft ground and flight test activities using flight management systems architecture knowledge.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience as a Systems Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience with capturing requirements in a requirements management tool, such as DOORs or JAMA.
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience in ARP-4754A or similar certification-based development experience.
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience developing test plans and test procedure documents.
• Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

The salary range is $133,494.00 to $164,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
