First Benefits Underwriters, LLC, (First Benefits) is a Raleigh-based wholesale insurance agency offering Property & Casualty and E&S insurance solutions to independent agencies across the country. First Benefits is seeking an
Account Manager
to join its growing team in Raleigh.
We are looking to hire a growth-minded individual that can work within an agile framework and provide wholesale-agency account management, agency appointment and contract management, remarketing & quoting support, and data entry for First Benefits.

This is an in-office/in-person position with flexibility for remote work at management's discretion.
Duties & Requirements
:
- Report to the President of First Benefits Underwriters, LLC
- Provide Account Management services on new and renewal business
- Provide data entry within the Agency Management System recording policy binders, endorsements, cancellations, and other policy transactions
- Work closely with First Benefits' Brokers to enter new business submissions into partnered carrier websites and prepare email submissions
- Work with partnered agencies to collect policy issuance paperwork and ensure compliance with state insurance law
- Manage agency appointments, terminations, and collect all necessary paperwork necessary for new agency onboarding and mergers and acquisitions
- Provide entry of new agents and agency information into affiliate company administration systems, raters, and CRM's
- Handle inbound phone calls from partnered agencies
Qualifications
:
- Associate's degree with 3 – 5 years relevant insurance industry experience is preferred
- Independent Agency experience is preferred
- Strong computer skills—MS Office and data entry skills required
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers--Customer Service is a priority focus
- Sound, balanced and timely decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of the independent agency system a plus
- Industry designations, such as CPCU, AU or other relevant industry education is preferred but not required
- Producer licenses and Surplus Lines licenses are preferred but not required
