Managed by Legends Global, Desert Diamond Arena is the premier live entertainment venue of the Southwest, hosting world-class concerts, sporting events, and private experiences in the heart of the Westgate Entertainment District. Following a recent $42 million transformation, the arena continues to set the standard for innovation, premium hospitality, and guest experience.
THE ROLE
The Assistant Manager Box Office partners with the Manager Box Office to oversee box office operations and supporting ticketing functions and processes. The Assistant Manager Box Office will share the responsibility of maintaining strong working relationships between various promoters (internal and external), artist representatives, venue management, and staff members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Hires and supervises part time box office personnel. Manages part time staff and ensures proper customer service practices in resolving customer (internal and external) issues and assuring courteous and respectful (including timely) service.
- Staffs the box office to accommodate the promoter, walk-up sales, will call window, seating problems collection and patron inquiries.
- Aid in event creation, management and in the coordination of ticket sales with promoters .
- Assist with communication to the outlets and computer ticket company in the absence of the manger and keeps them properly informed about events and computer operations
- Responsible for payroll processing, including but not limited to ensuring staff clock in/out, approving payroll and processing payroll according to deadlines
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assists the Box office Manager with management of Ticket Sellers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legend Global's policies and applicable laws.
- Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work flexible hours based on events, including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays, as needed
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- Must have professional attitude and appearance
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 to 2 years related experience required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in accounting and customer service essential
- Box office experience in a similar environment strongly preferred
- Supervisory experience desired
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills required
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial procedures, including record keeping and reconciliation
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
- Ability to coordinate and schedule staff
- Excellent good customer service and public relations skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of ticket selling/box office operations
- Ability to count money, make change accurately
- Experience with spreadsheets and computerized ticket systems desirable.
