Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead our distribution operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse activities, ensuring efficient inventory management, streamlined processes, and seamless coordination across supply chain functions. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize logistics workflows, and foster a safe, productive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, warehouse supervision, and supply chain analytics, with a passion for process enhancement and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution activities.
  • Develop and implement process improvements utilizing lean principles to increase efficiency and reduce waste across all warehouse functions.
  • Manage transportation planning and logistics coordination, including freight management, dispatching, fleet oversight, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships.
  • Oversee procurement activities such as purchasing, vendor negotiations, and inventory replenishment to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and supply chain analytics tools to monitor performance metrics and inform decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards by supervising forklift operation, materials handling procedures, and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Prepare budgets, analyze profit & loss statements related to warehouse operations, and implement cost control measures for continuous financial improvement.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in warehouse supervision with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400.
  • Proven ability in process improvement methodologies including lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management encompassing inventory management, demand planning, production planning, procurement, and logistics.
  • Expertise in transportation management systems (TMS), freight coordination, fleet management, and transportation planning.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in fast-paced environments; capable of motivating teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain analytics for performance tracking and operational insights; familiarity with tools like supply chain software or ERP systems is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities such as shipping & receiving, dispatching, purchasing, and inventory control effectively.
