In this critical role, you'll support program and project management activities for diabetes products, collaborating across multiple groups. You'll support the planning of new development projects and help ensure teams are well-coordinated aligned to the project deliverables.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional teams in planning and monitoring new product development projects and ongoing lifecycle management of diabetes products.
  • Collaborate with Program/Project Managers to maintain schedules and dashboards.
  • Develop, build, and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), integrating multiple sub-project schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM) or other scheduling methodologies to ensure accurate planning and execution.
  • Perform advanced schedule analysis, including critical path identification, float analysis, resource constraints, and bottleneck detection to improve predictability and delivery performance.
  • Conduct schedule what-if scenario planning and recovery analysis to optimize timelines and mitigate delays.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and adherence to established processes and regulatory standards.
  • Support project risk management processes, assess schedule impacts, and recommend schedule optimization strategies.
  • Facilitate program planning meetings, document decisions, and follow up on action items to closure.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Product Innovation group and PMO processes.
  • Support project planning/scheduling aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison between project management, planning teams, and line management.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and recommend interventions to resolve issues with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure engagement and alignment with business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Project management or commercial product delivery experience.
  • Familiarity with advanced scheduling management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working under FDA or other regulatory requirements.
  • Experience building and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), integrating multiple schedules, and developing master sub-project schedules using CPM or similar techniques.
  • Familiarity with agile project management and/or SAFe Agile Project Management.
  • Experience supporting teams in the development or commercialization of complex medical devices (e.g., insulin pumps, CGM systems, or digital health platforms).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$84, $127,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
