VDOT is seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer IV to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure-based AI cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on infrastructure automation, monitoring, patching, cloud migration, and ensuring the overall stability and security of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities & Required Experience

Implement, maintain, and monitor AI services and workloads in Azure

Provide technical guidance for Azure-based AI architecture and best practices

Perform regular system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation

Manage backup operations, recovery processes, and contribute to DR strategy

Plan and execute cloud migrations, including on-prem to Azure transitions

Support and troubleshoot production applications across multiple technologies

(.NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)

Utilize security tools such as Tenable for compliance and vulnerability management

Work with SCCM & SCOM for automated patch deployment and monitoring

Apply a strong understanding of networking concepts, including OSI layers and common protocols

Preferred Certifications

Microsoft Azure certifications (Administrator, Solutions Architect, AI Engineer)

Networking certifications (Network+, CCNA)
