Micah Abigail LLC is seeking an experienced, detail-obsessed Investigations Specialist to join our fast-growing credit repair and credit restoration firm. This is a high-performance role requiring accuracy, strong critical thinking, and a deep understanding of credit laws, credit reporting, and dispute processing.

Responsibilities (Daily, Weekly & Monthly)
This role involves daily investigations, credit report analysis, and dispute processing across TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian.
Daily Responsibilities
- Maintain Inbox Zero in the investigations inbox
- Process all stall letters, collection letters, creditor responses, and bureau responses same day
- Check in and check out through email (required)
- Update CRM notes with accurate case documentation
- Draft and send dispute letters (POA & non-POA)
- Respond to internal team emails and confirm task completion
- Clear iPostal daily (download + upload into client files)
- Handle all received chargebacks immediately with proper documentation
Investigation & Dispute Processing
- Process all Round 1–Round 12 investigations
- Issue direct-to-creditor and direct-to-bureau disputes
- Distinguish and prepare Power of Attorney (POA) vs Non-POA letters
- Create custom dispute language using AI tools
- Identify inaccuracies in derogatory items including:
- Collections
- Charge-offs
- Late payments
- Repossessions
- Bankruptcies
- Inquiries
- Public records
Digital Disputes (TransUnion Required)
- Complete TransUnion digital disputes daily
- Update the Digital Dispute Tracker every day (no exceptions)
- Perform monthly dispute cycles for all active clients
- Prioritize "low hanging fruit" each month:
- Collections
- Old charge-offs
- Closed-account late payments
- Duplicate or unverifiable items
Compliance
- Follow FCRA, FDCPA, CROA, Metro 2 reporting standards
- Maintain proper dispute documentation and timelines
- Support escalations, CFPB complaints, and arbitration preparation when needed
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years in credit repair, credit restoration, or investigations
- Strong knowledge of:
- FCRA
- FDCPA
- Metro 2
- Credit bureau disputes
- Consumer reporting laws
- Experience with:
- Drafting dispute letters
- TransUnion digital dispute system
- Handling collection accounts
- Identifying reporting inaccuracies
- MUST be:
- Detail-oriented
- Fast, accurate, and dependable
- Able to work under deadlines
- Strong communicator
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with CRM systems and case documentation
Preferred Skills
(Not required, but a huge plus)
- Arbitration support experience
- CFPB/FTC complaint drafting
- Credit Repair Cloud or DisputeFox experience
- Leadership background
- Ability to train other investigators
- Experience with international team collaboration
