Fort Worth, Texas, United States MP Materials Corp. Full time

MP Materials (NYSE: MP) is rebuilding American industrial capability for a new era of autonomy, robotics, and electrification.

We are the only U.S. company with a fully integrated rare earth supply chain—from mining and refining to advanced metal and magnet manufacturing. Our products include both the critical materials used to make permanent magnets and the finished magnets themselves—enabling next-generation technologies in robotics, automation, aerospace, transportation, defense, and energy systems. These materials are the foundation of physical AI—the convergence of computation, movement, and control.

We hire ambitious, mission-driven people who want to tackle complex challenges and shape the future of strategic industries. Our culture is rooted in teamwork, resiliency, and integrity, with a deep commitment to operational excellence and national purpose. MP is rapidly evolving from a materials producer into a leading U.S. manufacturer—and our people are driving that transformation.

The Construction Supervisor serves as the owner's field representative responsible for day-to-day coordination and oversight of construction activities through engagement with the EPCM and contractor site management teams. This role ensures work is performed safely, according to design specifications, and in alignment with project schedule and quality standards. The Construction Supervisor does not manage craft labor directly, but rather focuses on field monitoring, interface management, and supporting the Construction Manager in ensuring the contractor's execution meets project expectations. The position also provides key field input to QA/QC, commissioning, and engineering teams to facilitate efficient turnover and system readiness.

Essential Duties:
  • Monitor day-to-day construction activities through interaction with the contractor management teams, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and design standards.
  • Act as the primary field liaison between MP, EPCM site management, QA/QC, EHS, and commissioning teams to coordinate priorities, resolve issues, and maintain communication across disciplines.
  • Provide field-level input on constructability, sequencing, and readiness during work pack planning and execution.
  • Track and report daily progress, productivity, and constraints to the Construction Manager, highlighting potential schedule risks and recommended mitigations.
  • Confirm contractor work is executed per approved drawings and specifications; support QA/QC personnel in inspections, ITR reviews, and resolution of non-conformances.
  • Conduct and participate in field safety walks with EHS and EPCM safety representatives, reinforcing a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain daily logs, redlines, and field change records to support turnover and traceability.
  • Confirm contractors have adequate manpower, tools, and materials in place to meet schedule milestones; escalate deficiencies promptly.
  • Collaborate with commissioning and completions teams to ensure systems are construction-complete and ready for pre-commissioning activities.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to MP field technicians and junior site representatives to enhance field awareness and project execution capability.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in field construction supervision, preferably on large industrial or capital projects.
  • Strong understanding of multi-discipline construction practices including mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical scopes.
  • Experience working closely with contractors, QA/QC teams, and project engineering in the field environment.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and construction management tools such as Procore or Smart Completions.
Desired Qualities:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multiple field crews.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with contractors and internal teams.
  • Strong situational awareness and a proactive mindset toward safety and risk mitigation.
  • Detail-oriented and hands-on approach to problem solving in dynamic field conditions.
  • Ability to enforce discipline and maintain accountability while fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Provide structured leadership in the efforts for various system blowdowns and flushes, as well as a variety of other methods to clean and verify pipe cleanliness
  • Review and walk down construction pack with contractor's craft supervision to ensure the SOW is clearly outlined so that the work can be properly bid and executed
