Job Description

Join our team as a Power Only Dedicated Class A Lease Operator and contribute to our mission of providing reliable and efficient transportation solutions. We're looking for a dedicated individual to manage our FedEx dedicated routes from Miami, FL to Memphis, TN, and back. This role demands precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety. You will enjoy the benefit of being home on weekends, along with access to our advanced maintenance and roadside assistance programs to support your journey.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class A vehicle safely and efficiently on a dedicated account.
  • Maintain communication with the dispatch team to ensure timely delivery and pick-ups.
  • Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations.
  • Handle the unpredictability of the road, including dealing with inclement weather conditions and traffic delays.
  • Engage in loading and unloading processes when required (Drop & Hook).
  • Ensure the safety and security of the cargo.
  • Monitor truck repair/maintenance and coordinate with the maintenance team for scheduled servicing.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL Class A License.
  • Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) & clean background.
  • Minimum of 1-year tractor-trailer experience.
  • Proven work experience as a truck driver.
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
  • Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
  • Trucking school diploma.
  • Down payment required to lease a truck.
  • Participation in our Maintenance, Roadside Assistance, and Tire Program.
  • Willingness to handle emergencies and provide solutions when trucks break down, with support from our dedicated team who will fix or replace the truck as necessary.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
