Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires a proactive approach to upselling and collaboration with team members to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer's shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor.
  • Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
  • Utilize basic math skills for transactions and retail math for inventory management.
  • Assist in restocking shelves and ensuring product availability.

Skills

  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Proficient in upselling techniques that drive sales performance.
  • Experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members for successful sales outcomes.
  • Experience conducting product demos to engage customers effectively.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally.
  • Solid basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions.
