Position Overview:
The Network Engineer contractor is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing a Cisco-based network environment supporting voice, data, and video services. This role involves daily operational tasks, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and ensuring security and performance across a hybrid Microsoft on-premises and Azure infrastructure, with virtualized environments using VMware.

Required Skills:
  • 4+ years of experience with maintenance, configuration, optimization, and upgrades of infrastructure, including Windows servers, Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA firewalls, routers, and switches
  • Active CCNP certification
  • 4+ years of experience monitoring performance, capacity, and availability of LAN, WAN, telephony, and virtual systems
  • 4+ years of experience diagnosing and resolving incidents promptly to ensure continuity of services
  • 4+ years of experience maintaining network documentation, configuration standards, and change management processes
  • 4+ years of experience implementing and maintaining information security and assurance requirements in all network activities
  • 4+ years of experience supporting telephony systems, VoIP, voice switching, analog services, ACD, and IVR platforms
  • 4+ years of experience using Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco FMC, Cisco DNA, Microsoft Active Directory tools, Microsoft Intune, Tanium, Cayosoft, SSH, RDP, IDS and IPS appliances
  • 4+ years of experience with firewalls, VMware vCenter, DHCP, DNS, and associated utilities
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, and Windows server administrationDuties:
  • Perform daily operations, maintenance, configuration, optimization, and upgrades of network infrastructure including Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA firewalls, routers, switches, and Windows servers.
  • Monitor performance, capacity, and availability of LAN, WAN, telephony, and virtual systems to ensure continuity of services.
  • Diagnose and resolve network and system incidents promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date network documentation, configuration standards, and change management records.
  • Implement and enforce information security and assurance requirements across all network activities.
  • Support telephony systems, VoIP, voice switching, analog services, ACD, and IVR platforms.
  • Enforce policies related to security, compliance, auditing, disaster recovery, and encryption.
  • Utilize enterprise tools to monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and manage network and system health, including Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco FMC, Cisco DNA, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Tanium, Cayosoft, SSH, RDP, IDS/IPS appliances, firewalls, VMware vCenter, DHCP, DNS, and related utilities.
  • Participate in planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of networked systems.
  • Ensure ongoing quality assurance and operational efficiency in all network services.
  • Maintain a high level of technical competency in Cisco networking, Windows server administration, VMware, and hybrid cloud environments.
