About us

CT Coastal OB/GYN is a fast-paced OB/GYN medical facility with 5 locations in the New Haven County area (Cheshire, New Haven, Branford, Madison & Milford). There are 7 doctors and 5 midwives.

Responsibilities:

· Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.

· Obtain updated demographic and insurance information, scan insurance and photo IDs, and providing updates to Yale Medicine.

· Collect co-payment and/or outstanding patient balances due at the time of service.

· Schedule patients for return office visits as instructed by the provider.

· Scan all patient correspondence, forms, etc. in a timely and accurate fashion.

· Distribute faxes as received daily.

· Follow Medical Records Protocol and copy records when appropriate.

· Maintain reception area appearance, update magazines, coffee machine supplies. Keep area neat at all times.

· Order supplies and stock when received.

· Keep ample toner (2) for machines in the office at all times.

· Balance Yale Medicine cash drawer, prepare deposit to Yale Medicine.

· Receive and send out inter-office bags, record bags on the Network Log.

· Print After-Visit Summary for patients as they leave.

Call Center:

· Answer patient calls, make or reschedule appointments; take messages for Nursing triage.

· Check MD Calendars and office schedules daily for correct patient scheduling.

· Prepare IOV letters, new OB packets.

· Check appointment confirmations thru EPIC.

· Typing letters when necessary.

· Distribute incoming faxes and mail as received, distribute accordingly.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
