Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer, GenAI 3D

As a Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer on the Model Serving team for Roblox Cube, you will be responsible for building the production systems that enable the safe and reliable deployment of our cutting-edge 3D and 4D generative AI models. You will design, implement, and scale infrastructure to orchestrate the complex workflow for producing high-fidelity 3D and 4D textured meshes that are compliant with Roblox policies. We are seeking accomplished MLEs with a passion for ambiguous problems, curiosity to work in new spaces like 3D GenAI and a commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code to solve complex GenAI serving challenges at scale.

You Will

• Design, build, and own critical components of the serving infrastructure supporting our generative AI efforts focusing on usability, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement robust pipelines for collecting datasets and evaluating to build safe and compliant multimodal AI systems.
• Drive improvements in model serving & evaluation infrastructure architecture, engineering best practices, and operational excellence.

You Have

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience developing systems at scale, shipping products to production.
• Proven experience deploying ML models in production at scale
• Experience with fine-tuning VLMs, LLMs and large multi-modal LLMs for improving the quality & safety of models.
• Are proficient in Python and familiar with frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, HuggingFace libraries.
• Are passionate about the potential of Generative AI, particularly in creative domains like 3D/4D content.
• Are comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or other technical field is a plus.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Annual Salary Range

$238,520—$289,460 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
