What You'll Do
Design and Deliver Data Analytics Solutions with Looker
Develop, deploy, and optimize Looker dashboards, data models, and visualizations that enable actionable business insights.
Translate complex business requirements into efficient LookML data models and semantic layers aligned with Google Cloud best practices.
Connect Looker to data sources such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and external APIs to ensure reliable and performant reporting environments.
Collaborate with data engineers to design scalable data pipelines and optimize data structures for analytics performance.
Implement Looker governance, access controls, and content management to maintain a secure and efficient BI environment.
Partner with Clients and Cross-Functional Teams
Work closely with clients to understand their KPIs, reporting requirements, and business workflows.
Partner with Cloud Architects, Data Engineers, and AI Specialists to deliver integrated analytics and AI-driven reporting solutions.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Client Success Managers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Engage with Google Cloud teams for advanced Looker capabilities, troubleshooting, and co-delivery initiatives.
Enable Data-Driven Decision-Making
Design self-service analytics environments empowering business users to explore data independently.
Advocate for data visualization and reporting best practices to improve adoption and impact.
Conduct Looker training sessions and documentation for client teams and internal stakeholders.
Continuously improve existing dashboards and data models through feedback, optimization, and automation.
Drive Professional and Technical Excellence
Stay up to date with the latest Looker, BigQuery, and data analytics innovations within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
Contribute to internal best practices, reusable LookML templates, and process automation.
Represent Premier Cloud in client meetings, industry events, and Google partner forums with technical credibility and professionalism.
What You BringRequired Qualifications
Experience & Track Record
4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Looker.
Proven expertise designing and maintaining LookML models, Explores, and dashboards in production environments.
Demonstrated ability to work directly with business users and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Experience connecting Looker to BigQuery and other Google Cloud data services.
Strong analytical, visualization, and communication skills with attention to data storytelling.
Google Cloud Platform Expertise
Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
Understanding of data modeling, ELT pipelines, and SQL optimization within GCP.
Google Cloud Looker Business Analyst or Data Analyst certification preferred.
If not currently certified: commitment to achieve Looker Business Analyst certification within 6 months of hire.
Technical Foundation
Proficiency in SQL and LookML development.
Familiarity with data transformation tools like Dataform, dbt, or Cloud Data Fusion.
Understanding of data governance, access management, and metadata design in analytics environments.
Ability to integrate Looker with BigQuery ML, Vertex AI, and other AI tools for predictive and prescriptive insights.
Experience with Git-based version control, Agile workflows, and CI/CD for LookML.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Passion for enabling data-driven culture through scalable analytics.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Google Cloud certifications (Looker Business Analyst, Data Engineer, or Cloud Architect).
Experience with Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI in hybrid analytics environments.
Familiarity with data warehouse optimization, caching strategies, and API integrations.
Experience with machine learning visualization or embedding predictive insights into Looker dashboards.
Previous consulting or professional services delivery experience in a client-facing technical role.
Exposure to regulated workloads with compliance requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).

Development & Automation:
Git-based LookML version control
CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build or GitHub Actions
Terraform for analytics infrastructure management
Python and SQL scripting for automation and data validation
You don't need to be hands-on proficient in every tool, but should understand their interactions within a modern Google Cloud data architecture.
