Who are we?

Located in Valparaiso, Indiana, over the last 55 years J&J Heating and Air Conditioning and president/owner Denny Jorgensen have served the northwest Indiana community with care and dedication. Our main priority is to serve Valparaiso and the surrounding communities while producing the very best product possible. Some of our services include the servicing of furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, and boilers. Our 24 hour emergency service provides help to those who need it, any time of day.

Job description

This is a full time (40 hour, 8am-5pm) receptionist position. Your daily responsibilities are as follows.

  1. Answering phones and providing the best customer service with a professional and cheerful manner.

  2. Scheduling and confirming appointments

  3. Service call and installation data entry

  4. General computer use: typing, sending emails, etc.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent

  2. Prior office experience, 2+ years preferred

  3. Knowledge of HVAC preferred

  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  5. Outstanding organizational skills

  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and QuickBooks

  7. Ability to multitask and follow up on delegated tasks

  8. Ability to work independently and take initiative

  9. A passion for customer service

  10. Willingness to learn new things

  11. Honesty and Integrity

  12. Be able to work around office cats/dogs
