Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, located in Costa Mesa, CA. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns, conducting tax research, and maintaining tax compliance for clients involved in business aviation. Other tasks include managing IRS audit defense, Federal Excise Tax on transportation, sales and use tax planning, and property tax appeals. The Accountant will also handle audits, imputed income rules, cost disallowance, SEC reporting, and various aviation-related contracts and agreements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in federal and state income tax planning and compliance
  • Proficiency in IRS audit defense and Federal Excise Tax on transportation
  • Skills in sales and use tax planning, property tax appeals, and audits
  • Understanding of imputed income rules, cost disallowance, and SEC reporting
  • Knowledge of charter management contracts, fractional ownership contracts, and private aircraft management
  • CPA certification required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in the business aviation industry is a plus
