At Natural Way, we pride ourselves on maintaining a fleet of over 90 vehicles and 100 pieces of lawn machinery and trailers. We manage repairs and maintenance in-house to ensure our vehicles and equipment are always performing at their best and meeting the highest safety standards. We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanic with at least 1 year of welding experience to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on vehicles and lawn machinery
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of small engines, zero-turn equipment, and trailers
  • Handle welding tasks for equipment repairs and custom fabrication
  • Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet safety standards
  • Follow all safety protocols and work efficiently to ensure minimal downtime
  • Offsite field support
  • Assistance in keeping shop area organized and clean

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of welding experience (MIG welding preferred)
  • Proven experience in repairing and maintaining vehicles and small engines
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical issues
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment (minimum 50 pounds) and work in various weather conditions
  • Valid Michigan driver's license (Chauffeur's License preferred)
