Automotive Parts Counterperson
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and customer-oriented Parts Counter Person to join our team. As a Parts Counter Person, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers & our technicians with their needs. The Parts Counterman will be responsible for handling retail and wholesale parts needs at the counter for internal & external demands, including telephone inquiries & requests. Parts Counterman will also assist in maintaining inventory. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the automotive industry.
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service
- Assist customers & technicians in finding the products they need in a timely manner
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Sell parts to meet department production and profitability goals
- Issue parts and accessories to technicians from the parts counter
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and market trends
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to negotiate and upsell products to customers
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance is advantageous, particularly in a dealership setting
