Summary  

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in Houston. This position will work with an exceptional team of planning and design professionals focused on a range of transportation projects, including roadway design, trails, detention basins and stormwater systems. Our transportation team strives to deliver for our clients by envisioning solutions, developing designs, building consensus, and constructing the infrastructure that meets their current needs while also considering the future.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities   

  • Assist with transportation and drainage engineering projects, including roadways, trails, detention basins, and stormwater systems. Assist with utility coordination.
  • Help with Construction Phase Services such as overseeing contract compliance, site inspections, quality control, and project schedules.
  • Participates, as needed, in design meetings with engineering and client staff to fully understand expected project outcomes. 
  • Assist with preparing technical reports, specifications, and documentation to support project execution.
  • Works under the guidance of engineers to complete assigned work within budgeted timeframes. 

Education and Experience   

  • A candidate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in relevant discipline
  • 2+ years of experience with Transportation or Drainage design projects
  • A candidate with proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Basic Proficiency in software such as OpenRoads, Geopak and/or Civil3D
