Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team in a dynamic fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations. As a Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in managing kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining exceptional standards of service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee daily kitchen activities including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
  • Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a fine dining restaurant or similar culinary environment.
  • Strong background in restaurant management and supervising kitchen staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and food safety standards.
  • Experience with shift management to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
