  • Champion the use of AI and automation to streamline processes, improve property management workflows, and enhance decision quality.
  • Serve as the senior technology advisor to executives and department leaders—consulting on system selection, platform integrations, operational pain points, and technology-enabled business improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for centralization, consolidation, and standardization of platforms (ex: Yardi, CRM systems, facilities tools, construction tech).
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and propose solutions that increase efficiency, quality, and scalability.

  • Build and maintain a unified data governance framework that ensures data accuracy, accessibility, privacy, and compliance.
  • Oversee the architecture of core business systems and applications, ensuring integration, interoperability, and secure data flow between platforms.
  • Establish policies, standards, and processes that support consistent technology adoption and usage across all properties and business units.
  • Ensure business continuity planning, disaster recovery strategies, and cybersecurity practices are implemented and regularly tested.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT and BI team, building a culture of ownership, curiosity, and proactive partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with leaders across Roers Companies to understand operational needs, uncover root causes of technology challenges, and develop practical solutions.
  • Manage external IT vendors, consultants, and implementation partners to ensure accountability, quality of service, and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Communicate technology vision, roadmaps, and progress to executives and cross-functional teams in a clear, compelling manner.

Operational Excellence & IT Oversight

  • Oversee IT operations including systems administration, infrastructure, network security, user support, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Ensure reliability, uptime, and security of core technology systems—including property management systems, communication tools, and corporate applications.
  • Optimize the annual IT budget, ensuring investments align with long-term strategy and deliver strong ROI.
  • Conduct periodic audits of systems, processes, and cybersecurity protocols and implement improvements as needed.

Requirements
