Hours: 3 PM – 12 AM CT; Monday - Friday
During initial onboarding and training, hours will be traditional 9 AM to 5 PM CT, Monday - Friday. Please allow flexibility in your schedule for the first 3 to 6 months during the ramp-up period.

We're looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team and support clients after business hours. This role bridges Consulting and Engineering, handling escalated service desk issues, proactive monitoring, system maintenance, and smaller projects. While this role is primarily remote in Austin, there will be occasional onsite visits to client locations to ensure evening events and operations run smoothly.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and respond to system alerts, tickets, and client calls
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 technical issues, escalating when needed
  • Perform server patching, updates, backups, and AD audits
  • Support Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Exchange, Intune, SharePoint/Teams, and related technologies
  • Assist with networking tasks (VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, DNS, SSL certs)
  • Contribute to company initiatives and side projects during shifts

What We're Looking For:

  • Solid experience with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange, and server management
  • Working knowledge of networking, security, and virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware)
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in an evening schedule

Requirements  

  • Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of IT experience
  • Minimum 1 year as a network/system administrator, IT manager, or IT consultant
  • Prior experience handling multiple customers at an IT consultancy or MSP a big plus
  • Knowledge of common business operating systems and applications, including Windows, Windows Server, and Office
  • Solid understanding of network technology and related concepts, such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SMTP, etc
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interface professionally with customer executives and employees
  • Ability to see problems through to resolution and communicate progress and results to customers
