Order Picking & Staging

  • Pay Range: $18 per hour

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently picking, staging, and preparing cabinet and flooring orders for load-out of installation teams and customers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring on-time, damage-free staging and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick cabinets, flooring, and related materials according to pick tickets or work orders.
  • Verify product type, color, lot number, and quantity for accuracy.
  • Stage orders in designated areas for loading or customer pickup.

Inventory Control

  • Assist with cycle counts & inventory audits.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages.

Material Handling

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Ensure all products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse aisles for efficient workflow.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with shipping, receiving, and installation scheduling teams to prioritize orders.
  • Communicate any order or material issues promptly to supervisors.
  • Support a positive, customer-focused team culture.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE use and proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of warehouse or material-handling experience (flooring or cabinetry experience preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret order sheets, labels, and inventory documents.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Dependable, team-oriented attitude with a focus on serving the customer.
