What you'll do
As our Float Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe space where children can explore and learn literacy, science, math, art, computers, dramatic play, and other skills with hands-on activities. Day to day you'll:
- Work with school age children and float to different classrooms based on needs
- Create a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes learning and growth
- Effectively communicate with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and concerns
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and cohesive educational program
- Attend training sessions to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
What We Are Looking For
A deep understanding of child development is essential, additional details include:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5p, 9-5:30p, or 9:30a-6:00 p
- Experience: 2+ years of full-time teaching experience in a classroom required
- Education/Certification: Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or a degree in Early Childhood Education required
- Location: We are located at 41 North 3rd Street in Easton, PA
- Skills required: A positive attitude, flexibility, creativity, patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children are a must As are: excellent communication skills with both children and adults, a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, organizational skills, and attention to detail
