Thermacell is a wholly owned subsidiary of a privately held global consumer products company and operated independently. Thermacell is home to 125+ full-time employees across three U.S. hubs — Bedford, MA (Corporate Headquarters), Buford, GA (Manufacturing & Distribution), and Hampton, FL (Science & Research Center) — and is expanding its footprint in the UK & Europe.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Thermacell is currently seeking to grow our manufacturing business and is looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Line Operator. Manufacturing Line Operators are responsible for performing an array of duties such as operating manufacturing equipment, assembling packaging, inspecting materials, or performing warehouse functions. This role will report to the Manufacturing Management Team.

STATUS: Non- Exempt

WORKING HOURS: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm M-F (extended hours during busy season and occasional Saturdays)

WORK LOCATION: 3157 Buford Highway, Buford, GA 30518

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operating equipment: Setting up and operating production lines, assembly machines, conveyors, and packaging machinery
  • Reporting: Completing productivity reports detailing the number of parts or products made during each shift
  • Adheres to all manufacturing standard operating procedures
  • Performs Quality Control checks including inspecting and testing finished products for defects and quality assurance
  • Develop and adherence to equipment centerline and running line standards
  • Follow equipment and process troubleshooting methodologies: Why-Why, 5W+2H, etc. and making basic equipment repairs
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing key performance indicators
  • Production assembly operations
  • Utilize RF gun/scanning systems and interact with tracking systems
  • Ability to perform change overs and make process adjustments
  • Meets company productivity and quality standards
  • Loads and unloads trucks
  • Maintains clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Adherence to established safety policies and procedures

COMPENSATION

Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary and an Annual Target Bonus and Quarterly Incentive Bonus opportunity - details provided separately.

Paid time off for this position will consist of accrued vacation at a competitive level, along with 11 Holidays and a day off for your Birthday 40 hours of wellness time is also available on your first day of employment. Additionally, a company shutdown period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Year's Day where the majority of business operations pause, and employees are encouraged to rest and recover together. Critical functions may require limited coverage to ensure business continuity.

Requirements:

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Mechanical Skills including mechanical comprehension, mechanical knowledge, and basic electronics
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating packaging equipment
  • Self-starter and fast-learner, ability to be proactive/plan accordingly
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Proficient in base Microsoft programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. (Preferred/Not required)
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8 to 12 hours
  • Ability to read and comprehend production order requirements
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to work over-time as needed. Overtime may be prior to and/or after scheduled work hours (including weekends)
