The Solutions Architect should be able to articulate solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences. They will also provide technical leadership and mentoring to the sales team, as well as to other internal groups and thought leaders within the organization.

This position supports all of Cologix's North American platform (U.S. & Canada) and therefore may require some travel; however, it will be primarily focused on the Eastern U.S. market. The Solutions Architect may also be required to travel to other markets or locations where customer IT/engineering groups are based in order to conduct and lead on‑site customer meetings.

Essential Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Broad knowledge of Internet technologies including servers, networking equipment, and storage design solutions for colocation, hosting, and cloud.
  • Broad knowledge of AI systems and AI system architecture.
  • Detailed knowledge of critical facilities and an understanding of electrical/generation and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to quickly and accurately assess current operations, identify design flaws, and build consensus on both proposed solutions and action plans.
  • Strong ability to refine ambiguous customer needs into specific, deliverable requirements.
  • Ability to uncover hidden or unrealized customer requirements and gain prospect consensus.
  • Ability to independently develop relationships and communicate with high‑level internal and external technical staff.
  • Presentation Skills: Able to design and present highly technical concepts and solution specifics to internal and external audiences of varying technical capabilities in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional departments to gain alignment and drive design solutions with the appropriate teams.
What Makes You a Good Fit (Qualifications):
  • 3+ years of technical experience; experience with colocation/hosting/cloud companies, operations, or technical sales preferred.
  • Effective solution‑selling capabilities, demonstrating advanced solution‑selling skills and proactive customer communication, including proposal development and delivery.
  • Detailed knowledge of colocation technologies with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience interpreting and responding to RFP/RFI/RFQ formats.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex project documents for all audiences.

One or more of the following certifications are highly preferred:
  • CDCP / CDFOS / CNCDP or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • CCNA/CCNP Cloud or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • AWS / Google / Microsoft cloud certification or equivalent knowledge/experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to combine technical elements with commercial needs and client requirements.
  • Understanding of the impact of digital infrastructure technologies on business challenges, processes, and efficiency.
  • Confident in technical knowledge; articulate and comfortable driving conversations or presentations.
  • Ability to manage high levels of activity.
