Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
  • Explain automotive repairs, maintenance options, and estimates clearly and transparently
  • Write detailed service orders and communicate repair recommendations effectively to technicians
  • Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission services to maximize customer value
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and keep customers informed throughout the process
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience
  • Manage cash handling, invoicing, and processing payments accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times

Requirements

  • Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background is highly preferred
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, auto body repair, alignment, and other automotive diagnostics
  • Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently
  • Ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining integrity and customer trust
  • Mechanical experience or service technician background is advantageous for understanding complex repairs
  • Familiarity with automotive repair procedures including vehicle maintenance routines and automotive diagnostics
  • Basic cash handling skills with attention to detail in invoicing and payments
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is often required
