Senior Director, Technology Partner - Corporate Segment

Are you a strategic advisor who combines deep technology expertise with exceptional business acumen? Do you thrive as the trusted bridge between business leaders and technology teams—someone who can both architect solutions and influence executive decision-making?

Join our Commercial Engineering Organization as a Senior Director, Technology Partner, where you'll serve as the embedded technology liaison for our Corporate business segment — work closely with product management and engineering teams, amplifying the segment's technology capabilities and ensuring alignment with broader business goals.

About the Role

As the Senior Director, Technology Partner - Corporate Segment, you are the critical link between business strategy and technology delivery. You'll operate at the intersection of both worlds—bringing sufficient technology depth to create solutions and design roadmaps, while possessing the strategic and communication skills to advise executives and drive business outcomes. You'll proactively manage the relationship between business leadership, product leadership and technology teams, ensuring seamless communication, educated decision-making, and swift resolution of critical issues before they become escalations.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Alignment & Partnership

  • Serve as the strategic technology partner to Corporate Segment, building deep relationships and credibility to influence decision-making at the executive level

  • Proactively educate business leaders on the Commercial Technology Systems ecosystem, capabilities, constraints, and strategic direction

  • Translate technical capabilities, trade-offs, and constraints into business language that drives informed strategic decisions

Escalation Management & Issue Resolution

  • Own all technology-related escalations from the Corporate segment, serving as the single point of contact

  • Leverage your technology expertise to rapidly diagnose issues, determine root causes, and orchestrate resolution across technology teams

  • Identify patterns in escalations to surface underlying technology or process gaps and drive preventative solutions

Technology Strategy & Solution Design

  • Maintain comprehensive visibility into the Corporate segment's technology landscape, including Tax & Trade, Legal, and Risk product portfolios

  • Own and evolve the multi-year technology roadmap for the Corporate segment, balancing business priorities with technical dependencies and modernization needs

  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture to define solution approaches that balance business requirements with technical feasibility and scalability.

  • Champion technology standardization across the Corporate product portfolio while accommodating segment-specific needs

Ecosystem Education & Enablement

  • Build awareness and understanding across Corporate business teams regarding Commercial Tech Systems capabilities, roadmaps, and dependencies

  • Create clarity around technology processes, timelines, decision-making frameworks, and "the how" of technology delivery

Technology Transition Leadership

  • Lead Corporate segment through complex technology stack migrations and transformations, ensuring business continuity

  • Support the Commercial Process and Systems Program (CPSP) initiatives by aligning technology and process simplification with segment needs

  • Monitor and communicate technology dependencies, modernization efforts, and impacts to business goals and technical debt

  • Drive technology-enabled business outcomes, leveraging emerging trends in AI/ML, data analytics, and cybersecurity to inform strategy

About You

You're a fit for this role if you have:

  • 10+ years combining strategic technology leadership with hands-on technology experience, demonstrating both the ability to drive technology strategy and the depth to architect solutions

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills: You can command the room with senior executives, translate technical complexity into business clarity, and have the gravitas to challenge and guide leadership thinking

  • Strong technology foundation: Deep enough understanding of enterprise technology systems, architectures, and platforms to design solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and guide technical teams.

  • Proven escalation management expertise: Track record of owning critical issues end-to-end, diagnosing root causes, and driving resolution across organizational boundaries

  • Deep business acumen: Ability to understand business strategy, market dynamics, and operational challenges—and connect them to technology solutions and roadmaps

  • Strategic problem-solving capability: You see patterns, identify root causes, and design solutions that address systemic challenges across both business and technology dimensions

  • Proven ability to partner effectively in highly matrixed organizations, building trust and credibility with diverse stakeholders at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with core commercial platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, and Conga—enough to understand capabilities, constraints, and integration patterns

  • Experience with AI/ML applications, data analytics platforms, and their strategic business impact

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity trends and ability to integrate security considerations into technology planning

  • Background working within Corporate business segments (Tax & Trade, Legal, Risk, or similar domains)

  • Experience leading through periods of significant technology transformation or organizational change

  • Understanding of Digital Ethics, Responsible Technology development, and Green IT practices
